Jefferson

1975

Jefferson Recreation Board ($20,000) 
– constructed four new tennis courts for the community use.

1990

Economic Development Center ($100,000) 
– constructed a “one-stop shop” economic development center for the newly formed Growth Partnership in the county.

Jefferson Memorial Field ($15,000) 
-used for a complete overhaul and installation of a lighting system.

1995

Growth Partnership Economic Development Impact Fund ($125,000) 
-Contribution to assist Growth Partnership in leveraging grant, loan and investment dollars for local projects.

Growth Partnership Economic Development Center Building ($200,000) 
-Funds to support the purchase and renovation of a building in Jefferson as the new home for Growth Partnership, Ashtabula County Port Authority and the Ashtabula County 503 Revolving Loan Fund.

2010

Ashtabula Wave Newsletter ($9,799)

Barn Quilt Trail ($12,000)

Jefferson Depot Village ($12,500) 
– CDC matched funds to move the historic Post office and Grocery Store from Austinburg to the 19th Century Jefferson Depot Village. The building will be utilized as the Library-Welcome Center for the Depot Village.

Airport Signage ($5,000) 
– .

The Nature Conservancy Property Trails- Rome Township ($44,350)  – CDC in conjunction with Nature Conservancy and Cleveland Musueum of Natural History helped fund property trails showcasing biodiversity around the swamp preserve and Grand River.

Growth Partnership-Economic Development Impact ($108,7000) 
– Support Growth Partnership’s implementation of a new strategic plan designed to revitalize and restructure how Ashtabula Co. conducts econmic activities. Partially funded Lake Erie Development (LEEDCo). This was a five-county along with the City of Cleveland’s project to demonstrate wind power offshore of Lake Erie to provide power and additional jobs. Partially funding of the “Fund for our Econmic Future”.

The New Fly Fisher TV Show ($6,000) 
– Support Ashtabula County as a premiere location  and destination for spring steelhead along Grand River with educational show that gains national coverage.

2015

Lampson Reservoir Park ($52,961) 
-Funded a new foot bridge over the stream along with a boardwalk floating walkway/observation deck. A new information kiosk was added along with three new benches and additional boardwalks.
