Conneaut and Kingsville

1980

Conneaut Community Center ($34,700) 
-interior renovations at the Conneaut Community (Kilpi Hall)

Conneaut Human Resource Center ($24,000) 
– provided matching funds to purchase and renovate a facility in Conneaut to provide the services of an alcohol and drug specialist, a child psychologist, an information and referral specialist, and a family counselor.

1985

Conneaut Community Center ($15,500) 
– paid off loan for construction of kitchen addition.

Conneaut Human Resource Council ($226,000) 
– used for the renovation of a vacant grocery store to be the new headquarters for community services.

1990

Conneaut Community Center ($30,000) 
– renovated an existing cement building to create a music annex, allowing space for music lessons and facilities for the band, and an outside multi-purpose performance area.

Conneaut Human Services Center ($52,000) 
– provided money for the installation of an institutional kitchen to better serve the community and enhance nutritional programs.

1995

Conneaut Human Resource Council: Right Track Program ($10,000) 
– constructed a classroom to house the Right Track Youth Program.

2005

Conneaut Community Center ($30,000) 
– Funding to assist in major kitchen renovations, main entrance improvements, and completion of window replacement.

2000

Conneaut Community Center ($83,000) 
– roof replacement, upgrade of electrical wiring, improved lighting in the main hall, and installation of a new dance floor.

Conneaut Human Resources Center ($100,000) 
– interior expansion of the Right Track classroom and improvements to the senior citizen activity area.

2010

Conneaut Port Authority ($21,291)
-Wildlife viewing platform. Bird enthusiasts from near and far enjoy the location and spot the occasional bald eagle.

Conneaut Historical Railroad Museum ($10,000)
-Funds to refurbish antique engine to pristine state.

 

2015

D-Day Ohio Museum ($10,000)
-Added accessibility ramp for all to enjoy popular museum.

Conneaut Arts Center ($75,000)
-Building improvements consisting of a new air conditioner, boiler upgrade and added accessibility ramp.

Conneaut Human Resource Center ($5,000)
-Expansion of services with Right Track Program.  The Right Track Program follows a basic schedule that includes physical activity, snacks, homework help, discussion and craft or cooperative game time.

Hatches Corners and Friends of Conneaut Creek (Blakeslee) Metroparks ($50,258)
-Completed a paved trail, new benches and information kiosks for both parks. Small stream crossing, bridge over creek and wood chip trail was attributed to Hatches.  Blakeslee received asphalt grindings topcoat for parking lot.
