Geneva, Harpersfield, and Austinburg
1959
Boy Scouts ($48,000)
– camp improvements including: additional land, tents, health and sanitation facilities; boats and canoes; an expansion of the kitchen; road repairs; storage facilities; and visual training equipment.
Girl Scouts ($100,000)
– established a camp for area Girl Scouts that included land, buildings, a swimming pool, and appropriate equipment to serve approximately 100 campers during the summer.
1965
Boy Scouts ($31,232)
– addition to Camp Stigwandish, including sanitation facilities, campfire circle, tents, fire-lighting equipment, a flagpole, and a program area.
Girl Scouts ($57,000) – additions to Camp Unalia, included a swimming pool, sanitation facilities, and an infirmary.
1970
Boy Scouts ($33,000)
– remodeled and improved facilities at Camp Stigwandish, including the purchase of additional land for expansion.
Girl Scouts ($46,000)
– improvements to Camp Unalia, including a unit shelter for program and storage, an all-season troop house for year round programs, and a caretaker’s home for maintenance and security.
1980
NEO Boy Scout Council ($27,000)
– funds used on various camping buildings at Camp Stigwandish to provide winter use, as well as restrooms for the handicapped, purchase of a kitchen stove, and improvements to the water system.
Geneva Civic Center ($36,775)
– modernization of the facility for year-round use. Improvements included remodeling the restrooms, additional meeting rooms, air conditioning, and repairs to exterior walls.
Girl Scouts ($103,024)
– several projects including the construction of a troop house at Camp Unalia, site improvements in the roads, trails and campgrounds, and matching funds for the construction of a conference center at Camp Sugar Bash.
Harpersfield Volunteer Fire Department ($7,000)
– lot improvements for the Harpersfield Community Center.
2005
Cork Little League & Ashtabula County Parks ($20,000)
– Harpersfield Covered Bridge Metropark to construct a regulation size Little League baseball field. The project includes trenching, tiling, infield base material, perimeter fencing, dugouts, bleachers and scoreboard.

Spire Aquatics & Medical ($100,000)
– Health, Wellness and Recreation
Pairings Wine and Culinary Center ($200,000)
– Local match fund for Ohio’s Wine and Culinary Experience.
Connect 534 ($20,000)
– Marketing iniative focus on businesses and recreational activities along Route 534 in Geneva, Geneva Township, Geneva-on-the-Lake and Harpersfield.
City of Geneva ($1,000)
– West Liberty Bridge installed infomative panels on shortest covered bridge in the world.
Geneva Swamp and Fitness Trails ($7,000)
-A 1/2 mile tpublic access trail into the Cleveland Museum of Natural History’s Geneva Swamp Preserve, which is adjacent to where Spencer Elementary School was located and a public access 3/4 mile fitness walking trail on city property. Project in conjunctions with : Cleveland Museum on Natural History, Geneva Rotary , Ashtabula County Visitors Bureau, City of Geneva, Geneva Fireman’s Club and A-Tech.
Terra Local Farmers Market ($3,389)
– Funded tenat, cooling equipment and marketing for market held on grounds of Pairings.
Geneva-on-the-Lake Heritage Trail Signage ($7,000)
– Weatherproof, permanent pedastal markers designate to tell the stories of Geneva and its leaders and history.
Geneva-on-the-Lake Multipurpose Trail ($65,000)
– Paved smooth terrain trail opposite of township park.
Village of Geneva-on-the-Lake Planning ($5,000)
– Match Grant for CDBG downtown tier 1 revitilization planning grant.
1975
Boy Scouts ($59,400)
– improvements in buildings, equipment, and land use at Camp Stigwandish and Camp Tidioute.
Geneva Civic Center ($19,500)
– interior renovation allowing for the expansion of activities, as well as exterior repairs to prevent deterioration of the structure.
Girl Scouts ($44,800)
– built a troop house at Camp Unalia.
1985
NEO Boy Scout council ($16,750)
– Constructed a new program shelter at Camp Stigwandish
Geneva Civic Center ($100,000)
– Built an addition to the Geneva Civic Center to house the Human Services Council.
1990
Geneva Civic Center ($5,000)
– Assisted in the installation of an air conditioning unit for a portion of the facility.
1995
Geneva Community Center ($10,000)
– Provided matching funds for general upgrading and improvements to the center.
2000
Western Reserve Greenway (Rails-to-Trails) ($249,872)
– Provide the local matching funds for the leveraging of $1 million dollars in federal TEA-21 assistance to develop Ashtabula County Rails-to-Trails.
Country Neighbor Program ($150,000)
– Funds to support major remodeling and expansion of existing facility in Orwell, creating usable office and program space.
2015
I-90 Beautification Branding Project Phase II ($18,500)
– Added aesthetic covered bridge to welcome tourists and passersby headed west on Route 90 to identify Geneva as a must see destination.
