By focusing on the well-being of families the Civic Development Corporation of Ashtabula County (CDC) continues its commitment to fostering vibrant communities throughout local communities. CDC plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for families across the county, promoting economic growth, and creating opportunities for a prosperous future.
“Ashtabula County is not just a place; it’s a home for families of all backgrounds,” said CDC executive director Amanda Tirotta. “We recognize the significance of strong and thriving communities and strive to empower families through its various initiatives and programs and local collaborations.”
The Civic Development Corporation of Ashtabula County’s mission to improve the quality of life in the communities through surveying its stakeholders, developing strategic objectives, identifying impactful projects, raising funds, and providing oversight for the successful completion of those projects.
Formed in 1959, CDC is the only consolidated capital fundraiser in Ashtabula County and has fundraised only once every five years. Currently, Campaign 2020 Shared Vision: A Community Blueprint is concluding. Projects selected for support in that campaign have been completed or are near completion.
For over 65 years and 13 successful capital campaigns, CDC projects have benefited the lives of both Ashtabula County residents and tourists, alike. Over 200 projects have been completed and $26 million dollars have been raised to build up Ashtabula County.
CDC donors consist of individuals, corporations, foundations, and grant making organizations. CDC donees are comprised of: parks, schools, youth organizations, museums, services agencies and various non-profits.
In addition to the concrete outcomes realized through CDC’s capital campaigns, there exist numerous enduring advantages that bolster the vitality of Ashtabula County:
